Endometriosis is a chronic disease that affects almost every tenth person with uterus of childbearing age. In this case, tissue similar to the endometrium grows outside the uterus. The road to diagnosis is often a long one. It is therefore important to us to raise awareness of this under-diagnosed disease and to promote understanding for those affected.
On June 28 at 7 p.m., you can first watch the short film "Endometriosis: chronically invisible" by Lynn Kohli. This will be followed by a lecture and discussion with Prof. Dr. med Imesch about endometriosis. In parallel, the three artists Marlène Pichler, Amanda del Valle and Lynn Kohli will exhibit works in Zentralwäscherei from June 28 to July 2, which create an artistic approach to endometriosis, the representation of bodies read as female or the feeling of emotion during a menstrual cycle.
Stop by, let the artworks make you think and learn more about this invisible disease.
